Urgent action needs to be taken to stop lorries parking overnight in Goodwick, says Paul Davies AM.
Mr Davies has met local haulier Martin Hall at the Moor car park and seen the problem first hand.
"The lorry drivers are parking up there at the weekends and as there are no toilet facilities they are using the hedgerows and verges," said the Preseli Pembrokeshire AM. "Quite frankly it is absolutely disgusting.
"There is a Scout Hut practically in the same car park and a football pitch next door. No one would want their children going anywhere near what's being left behind by these drivers."
Mr Davies is due to meet with Ian Westley, Director of Highways for Pembrokeshire County Council in the next few days.
"This is a difficult situation as, quite frankly, these lorries shouldn't be parking up at all.
"As I understand it, lorries are not allowed to park overnight at Holyhead or Dover so we must look at why they don't have a problem and see if we can apply the same rules in Pembrokeshire.
"The current state of affairs is unhygienic, threatening and unsightly and clearly cannot be allowed to continue."
