The Paul Sartori Foundation has spelled out its funding problems to the chairman of the Welsh Assembly's Health Committee.
Darren Millar AM was in Pembrokeshire to learn more about the unusual hospice at home movement that operates in the County.
"I was very impressed with the Paul Sartori Foundation and the way it works," said Mr Millar.
"I have visited many hospices around Wales but Paul Sartori does things differently as a hospice from home. Being able to die at home gives people greater dignity and choice."
Mr Millar was invited to meet the Paul Sartori team by local AM Paul Davies who has constantly campaigned for better funding for the service.
"As the Assembly's Health Committee Chairman I felt it was important for him to get a greater understanding of how the hospice works down here and the problems that they face," explained Mr Davies.
"The major point that came across was that they need better security of funding, it is very hard for them to plan for the future and to be sustainable when they don't know how much or how little funding they will have from year to year."
