Two-decade business park fails to create any jobs

The Labour Government splurged £11m on a Bangor business park which has sat empty for 20 years.

The Plaid Cymru-run local council have now approved plans to build a lorry fuelling facility there, but no permanent jobs will be created.

Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Economy, Paul Davies MS, said:

“This is yet another example of the Labour Government wasting taxpayers’ money.

“We’ve waited two decades for something to happen, and it’s frankly a disgrace there won’t be any permanent jobs at the site.

“There are serious questions that need to be answered and the Minister must explain how this investment is delivering value for money for the taxpayer.”
