Local Assembly Member, Paul Davies said, "I am appalled that somebody has stolen this statue as it is of great historical and local importance to the people of Neyland and Pembrokeshire.

"The statue of Isambard Kingdom Brunel is a local landmark and the empty plinth that is left behind is completely redundant. As such, I urge anyone who has any information whatsoever to contact the police and help us find this missing statue."
