With Christmas fast approaching, local Assembly Paul Davies is encouraging the people of Pembrokeshire to support their local businesses this year. Mr Davies' call follows the publication of data by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales which show four of Wales's 40 constituencies have the lowest average annual turnover per business in the whole of the UK, though thankfully it doesn't include Pembrokeshire.
Mr Davies said, "We have a fantastic range of small businesses here in Pembrokeshire that cater everything from food and drink, to home accessories and gifts for all the family. So let's support our small businesses in the run up to Christmas and make a real difference to the local economy. While shopping online can certainly be convenient, supporting shops on the Pembrokeshire high street will help sustain their viability this Christmas as well as support local employment and help to keep the services those businesses provide on our high streets."
