Paul Davies AM, the Leader of the Welsh Conservative Assembly Group, has said that – whatever our individual politics – now is the time to rally behind our Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

He said:

“While so many have contracted Covid-19 (Coronavirus), and, sadly, many have died, it is always when it afflicts someone you know personally that really brings it home.

“I know Boris well, and saw him most recently at the Welsh Conservative Party conference in Llangollen just a month ago. We all know him to be a resilient man, and he is also a fit one, and I know he is receiving the very best care that the dedicated and hard-working men and women of NHS can provide.

“Our thoughts must be with his fiancée, Carrie, who is expecting their first child, and the rest of his family, and I hope we all – whichever party we vote for – to back Boris and wish him well for a speedy recovery.”
