Speaking ahead of the publication of the Silk Commission's first report on financial accountability, Paul Davies AM, Shadow Minister for Finance, said:

"We recognise the mammoth undertaking of Paul Silk and his team in taking on board reams of evidence and travelling around Wales listening to the views of the Welsh public.

"We look forward to the Silk Commission's recommendations to make the Welsh Government more accountable for the money it spends.

"We hope that their package of proposed reforms will finally end the Welsh Government's excuses culture and deliver fully accountable democratic governance in Wales."
