Preseli Pembrokeshire politicians Paul Davies AM and Stephen Crabb MP are publicly supporting the Save Hubberston Fort Campaign to keep the nineteenth century fort preserved and open to the public

Preseli Pembrokeshire politicians Paul Davies AM and Stephen Crabb MP are publicly supporting the Save Hubberston Fort Campaign to keep the nineteenth century fort preserved and open to the public. The campaign has issued a petition to call upon Milford Haven Port Authority & Pembrokeshire County Council to commit to finding a sustainable and long term future for Hubberston Fort, and one which preserves the heritage of the site for generations to come.

Paul Davies said "I am delighted to support the Save Hubberston Fort campaign. This fort is an important part of Pembrokeshire's local history and it is important that it is made open to the public so that we can share this site not only with the local community but with tourists and visitors as well."

"Hubberston Fort in Milford Haven is an important historical building and it is vital that we preserve and promote our heritage in Pembrokeshire. I look forward to working with the Save Hubberston Fort campaign in the future and I would encourage as many people as possible to register their interest in the campaign on their Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/people/Save-Hubberston-Fort/100002333637177."

Stephen Crabb MP added, "I have been hugely impressed with the way the Save Hubberston Fort Campaign has taken off. It is clear that there is an enormous support from people within Pembrokeshire and from further afield who recognise the historical and social importance of the fort. It has the potential to be another important tourism site for Milford Haven and I look forward to supporting the campaign group with their project."
