Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies has been on a fact‐finding mission to the Haverfordwest‐based PIPPA charity. Physically Impaired People of Pembrokeshire Association (PIPPA) provides information and equipment for those with limited mobility, whether they live in the county or are just on holiday here.
"I was very impressed by the organisation and the volunteers I met," said Mr Davies.
"They make a terrific difference to many people's lives.
"I think it's wonderful that the service is available to both locals and visitors and I would encourage tourist operators to make full use of their resources."
As well as hiring out wheelchairs and personal care aids, PIPPA also offers a form‐filling service from its information centre in the basement of the Register Office in Tower Hill, where Mr Davies is pictured with PIPPA volunteers.
"We all know how daunting it can be to receive one of those disability benefits forms to fill in," said a PIPPA spokesman. "But don't be put off, call us, we can help. We can come out to see people at home if they are unable to come in to see us.
