Pembrokeshire's emergency services should be getting extra funding to help them cope with any incidents at the new LNG terminals, says Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies.
The first delivery of Liquefied Natural Gas is due to arrive in Milford Haven in the next two to three weeks.
Fire crews in the County have undertaken special training and action plans have been put in place in case of an emergency but no extra money has been made available to fund the extra work.
"Milford Haven port has seen a massive development in the last few years and will soon be handling a quarter of all the UK's gas reserves," said Mr Davies.
"The emergency services in the county have had to increase their training and planning to cover all eventualities and it is only right that their funding is increased as well," added Mr Davies who lobbied the Minister for public service delivery on the issue in the Senedd last week.
