Pembrokeshire's two Conservative Assembly Members have both been nominated for a prestigious Welsh media award.

Angela Burns and Paul Davies, who between them represent Pembrokeshire at Cardiff Bay, are two of the five AMs shortlisted for BBC Wales's AM:PM programme Best Newcomer award.

"It is very flattering to be nominated for this award and quite a coup that we have both been recognised in this way," said Mrs Burns.

Mr Davies added: "We've both found our first six months as Assembly Members very challenging and rewarding and it's an honour to have our hard work recognised."

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in December.
