The Pembrokeshire Coast has been named one of the five best National Parks on the planet by a writer from the luxury travel website Condé Nast Traveller. This follows the recent news that eleven beaches in Pembrokeshire have been awarded the international Blue Flag Award this year, as well as 12 Green Coast Awards and 19 Seaside Awards.
Commenting on this, local Assembly Member Paul Davies said, “It’s excellent to see that the Pembrokeshire Coast has made global headlines once again – it wasn’t that long ago it was voted the second best coastal area in the world by National Geographic Traveller magazine.”
He added “We’re very fortunate, living in Pembrokeshire, to have access to some breath-taking scenery, right here on our door step. We should be proud of our local landscape and do all that we can to protect and promote it. I will continue to raise the promotion of the Pembrokeshire Coast at the National Assembly for Wales and call on the Welsh Government to do more to market our National Park.”
