With winter on the way, local Assembly Member Paul Davies has today called on his constituents to ensure they are taking advantage of free help and support with energy bills. Supporting the British Gas "Get Ready for Winter" campaign, Mr Davies is encouraging households across Pembrokeshire to contact their energy suppliers to find out how they can best prepare for the winter months.

Mr Davies said, "There are a number of simple steps that every household should take to make sure they're doing all they can to keep their bills down and their homes warm this winter. Whether it's checking your current energy tariff, or loft and cavity wall insulation, there are options out there. Help is available and I urge everyone to get in touch to find out what advice and support is on offer."

He added, "The British Gas Trust funds over 50 specialist energy debt advisors across the country and help is open to everyone, not just British Gas customers.
