Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting the British Heart Foundation by raising awareness of their newest campaign, “Wear it. Beat it.” As February is Heart Month Mr Davies is encouraging the people of Pembrokeshire to show your hearts some love by wearing red on February 6, taking the workplace challenge between 16th-27th of February; and identifying small steps that can help reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to support the BHF’s latest campaign and I’d urge everyone across Pembrokeshire to wear red and make the most of National Heart Month. Sadly, one in four of our loved ones are lost to heart and circulatory disease – and so it’s more important than ever that we all consider small steps that can be taken to reduce the risks of heart attacks and strokes. Whether it’s giving up smoking, or even making small changes to your diet, you can drastically help support your heart. The British Heart Foundation have a wonderful website with some fantastic resources and ideas for getting involved, so please visit www.bhf.org.uk/heartmonth to find out how you can make a difference.”
