Local Assembly Member Paul Davies recently presented a cheque for almost £5,000 to Wolfscastle over 60s on behalf of the Awards for All Scheme, under the Big Lottery Fund. The scheme aims to support community activity by extending access and participation, increasing skills and creativity and generally improving the quality of life of people in their local communities.

Mr Davies said: “I was delighted to present the Wolfscastle over 60s club with a cheque for almost £5,000, which I understand has been used to organise a series of educational visits to local and national places of interest during 2017. I am told the club will be visiting Aberdulais and the Gower for the remainder of 2017.

The Wolfscastle over 60s club has now increased to more than 40 members and with this funding it can continue to go from strength to strength. I’ve been fortunate to have visited the club on numerous occasions and it is clear that they are a shining example of a very active and well run club.”
