Paul Davies, AM for Preseli Pembrokeshire is backing the fight against breast cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign's award winning fundraiser, wear it pink day – and he wants the people of Pembrokeshire to join him!
Over the last 10 years wear it pink has raised a staggering £23 million and on Friday 25 October 2013 people will come together in schools, colleges and businesses across Wales to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Campaign's lifesaving research.
Mr Davies said "Every year in Wales around 2,500 women are diagnosed with breast cancer, along with around 13 men. Sadly, around 615 women die from the disease each year. This is why we need to support Breast Cancer Campaign's fundraising efforts so they can continue to fund research which will one day lead to a cure. So I would like to encourage the people of Pembrokeshire to wear pink and donate £2 to support this very worthwhile cause. Whether it's wearing pink socks, a pink tie or a pink hat – you can get involved and help this charity continue their very important cancer research."
Breast Cancer Campaign vitally needs the money raised from wear it pink for its researchers to have the best possible chance to find the cure.
