Genpower Visit

Paul Davies AM recently visited Pembrokeshire based company GenPower. The company has seen huge expansion over the thirteen years it has been in operation and now employs fifty people at its headquarters in Pembroke Dock.

GenPower was incorporated in September 2006 by husband and wife team Roland and Lisa Llewellin. For a decade GenPower has been working with global company Hyundai, and now has exclusive rights to the Hyundai brand in the United Kingdom and Ireland. In addition GenPower also distributes Hyundai products to a number of countries in Africa. The product range includes lawn mowers, pressure washers, generators and water pumps to name just a few.

A retail outlet now operates from the headquarters at Isaac Way which is just off London Road in Pembroke Dock. This gives people the opportunity to view their extensive product range in person.

Commenting on his visit, Paul Davies AM said “I was hugely impressed to see the scale of the GenPower operation. The 120,000 square foot building is a hive of activity with stock being shipped out to customers. GenPower has invested in the manner that stock is despatched, and the speed and efficiency that products are readied for transporting to customers was evident during my visit.”

“I am hugely impressed that the company now employ fifty staff and want to expand further. It is fantastic that they trade from Pembrokeshire, and are clearly putting Pembrokeshire on the map on a global scale. I wish GenPower well for future expansion.”
