Local Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting ME awareness week to help raise awareness of ME and to ensure that the Welsh Government is providing the proper care and support for people with ME. Mr Davies is also encouraging his constituents to get creative and show their support for the campaign by wearing blue this week.
Following the debate Mr Davies said, “I’m delighted to support ME awareness week and help raise the profile of ME at the National Assembly for Wales. People with ME can experience a wide range of debilitating symptoms, which can make life very difficult and so therefore, it’s essential that we do all that we can to empower people with M.E. to fulfil their potential and secure the care and support that they need.”
He added, “I’d also like to encourage the people of Pembrokeshire to get involved and help support this worthy cause. There’s plenty of ways to get creative and wear blue this week – whether it’s a blue ribbon, a blue hat, or even something more adventurous - you can get involved and help raise awareness of this very serious condition.”
