Local Assembly Member, Paul Davies is backing The Mount Estate Post office's application for funding from the Post office Diversification fund. 

The application seeks to improve the retail side of the business by expanding their newsagent's service. They also plan to reorganise their shelving and install new safety flooring to the premises, which will improve its disabled access provisions.

Mr Davies said, "It is my pleasure to endorse this worthy application. I have written a letter of support for The Mount Post office, urging its proposals to be fully considered. These are refurbishments that have the interests of the local community at heart and will benefit the local residents hugely."

Post offices like the one on the Mount Estate have long been at the heart of Wales' communities and serve all the people in the local area. This money can help keep the Post office viable and provide a wider range of services to the local community."
