Mr Gove, who is a member of the Conservative's front bench team and a close ally of party leader David Cameron, was the guest of honour at the Preseli Pembrokeshire Conservative Association's dinner. He spoke passionately about how the Labour Party has bankrupted Britain.

"Mr Gove was an excellent speaker who really brought home how much debt the country is in," said Mr Davies.

"He also answered questions on a wide range of issues varying from pointless red tape to political correctness gone mad."
