Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has visited the Phoenix Wellbeing Society to meet with members and deliver a presentation on his role as the Assembly Member for Preseli Pembrokeshire and the work of the National Assembly for Wales. The Phoenix Wellbeing Society aims to promote wellbeing in Pembrokeshire amongst, but not exclusively to, elderly and vulnerable people by offering a range of facilities, support and services.
Mr Davies said "This visit was a great opportunity to meet with the members of the Phoenix Wellbeing Society and to hear their concerns. I was more than happy to deliver a presentation outlining my work as an Assembly Member and to provide information about the roles and functions of the National Assembly for Wales, which I hope the group found useful."
He added, "The Phoenix Wellbeing Society does a fantastic job in offering new experiences and support to combat the loneliness that many people in Pembrokeshire face. The group organise monthly lunch meetings, as well as holidays and days out. I'm pleased to see this organisation going from strength to strength and would encourage people across Pembrokeshire to get involved, by visiting their website at http://www.phoenixwellbeing.org.uk/ "
