Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has visited PATCH – Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship, to help out and to witness their "Basics Bank". PATCH have recently set up a new branch in Haverfordwest, following their good work in Milford Haven and Monkton, to help reach out an even wider number of people in need.
Following the visit to the organisation, Mr Davies was able to see the volunteers in action first-hand. He said, "I have been privileged to visit the new PATCH branch in Haverfordwest and meet the volunteers there. PATCH provides a valuable service to our community by providing food and clothing for families in need. They also launch a Christmas toy appeal every year to try to ensure that all children in Pembrokeshire, regardless of their background, enjoy the Christmas that they deserve."
"It is very pleasing to see this organisation continuing its good work. I would like to urge people in Pembrokeshire to get involved with PATCH by volunteering or donating food items and clothing. For a more extensive list of what you can do to help PATCH and to hear more about the tremendous work that they are doing across Pembrokeshire, visit their website at http://www.patchcharity.org.uk/index.html "
PATCH Co-ordinator Tracy Olin added: "We were very pleased that Paul Davies was able to take the time to visit us. I think it was useful for him to see the kind of services which are available from organisation to the local community. We at PATCH would like to thank Paul for his continued support of our organisation and we look forward to working with him in the future."
