Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies is supporting the new Keep Wales Tidy campaign, I Will for Wales.
The I Will for Wales campaign is being launched to encourage people to sign up to a New Year's Resolution that will help care for the local environment. These resolutions, featured on the Keep Wales Tidy website, range from becoming a Litter Champion to using a bag for life when shopping.
Paul Davies said, "I am pleased to support this wonderful campaign. More than £70 million a year is spent on cleaning Welsh streets and it is a figure that we simply cannot afford. By making small lifestyle changes, such as using a bag for life when shopping, you can make a positive impact on the local environment in a cost-effective manner."
"The I Will for Wales campaign is looking to change peoples' attitudes towards the environment and towards issues such as littering, graffiti and recycling. By changing attitudes we can achieve a cleaner Pembrokeshire. I would like to urge everyone to think about their local environment and keep your local area clean and tidy in 2011."
