Recently, local Assembly Member Paul Davies met with representatives from Pembrokeshire Access Group and the County Council to discuss issues regarding provisions and access for disabled people in Pembrokeshire. The meeting also specifically looked at the Blue Badge scheme and its new proposals, access to train services and improving access to tourism for disabled people in Pembrokeshire.
Paul Davies said, "I am thankful that the Pembrokeshire Access Group invited me to this meeting. It was a great opportunity to work with the group and address any concerns they have regarding the National Assembly's role in improving provisions and access for people across all of Wales.
"For my part, I will continue to campaign for better access to transport services, housing and community services here in Pembrokeshire; and continue to work with groups such as Pembrokeshire Access Group to ensure that the voices of disabled people continue to be heard at an Assembly level."
