Commenting on an extension of the Haven Waterway enterprise zone to allow more businesses to benefit from rates relief, Welsh Conservative Shadow Minister for Business William Graham AM, said:

“This is extremely welcome news that opens up the potential for more businesses to benefit from rates relief.

“It offers wider opportunities for businesses in this area of Pembrokeshire to consolidate and plan for growth; in addition to increasing the potential for attracting new businesses to this region.

“Murco’s closure isn’t just hitting hundreds of directly affected families – it’s hit the long supply chain right across the area.

“This announcement will go some way to alleviating that incredible pressure.

“There is more work to do and I know the Secretary of State for Wales will continue to work with the Welsh government to ensure that happens.”

“I welcome the Minister’s announcement today and I am pleased that action is being taken.

“Extending the enterprise zone to allow other businesses to benefit is a common sense move.
