COMMENTING on today's publication of figures which show more students are failing to find a job after graduating from Welsh universities, Shadow Education Minister Paul Davies AM said:

"These worrying figures show that young people are falling victim to the recession.

"We already know more students are dropping out of university. And we know that across Wales thousands of young people are not in education, employment or training.

"Ministers are letting young people down by failing to help them complete their studies, or find work once they have graduated."
