Pembrokeshire Conservative Assembly Members have this week, met with a group of clinicians and former clinicians in light of the documents which have been produced by the local health board recently.
Concerns have been raised by professionals that this is a re-run of the debate which was held four years ago regarding centralisation of services.
Concerns have also been expressed regarding the morale of staff in the health service due to uncertainties.
South Pembrokeshire AM Angela Burns said, "This meeting was extremely useful and I remain concerned at the disengagement of staff with senior management and the impact of that disengagement on staff morale.
Clinicians must be properly consulted when any changes are proposed and it seems that this has not been the case thus far."
Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies added, "It is essential that any new proposals within the health service in Wales are transparent and accountable to its people.
We will continue to work with these clinicians to ensure that our health services continue to be delivered locally here in Pembrokeshire. We will continue to lobby and make representations to the Minister for Health and Social Services, and the local health board over this issue. We have already sought another meeting with the health board and the Minister for Health and Social Services."
