Local Assembly Member Paul Davies has congratulated local MP Simon Hart on his new role as Secretary of State for Wales. The Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire MP was recently appointed by the Prime Minister to the role, following a previous stint as a junior minister in the Cabinet Office.
Mr Davies, “I’m delighted that my colleague and friend Simon Hart MP has been appointed to the role of Secretary of State for Wales. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside him for several years now and I know just how committed he is to making Pembrokeshire and indeed Wales, a more prosperous place.
Simon has worked hard on several local issues such as rural bank closures and calling for better transport infrastructure across west Wales. He has a proven track record of campaigning on rural issues and I have no doubt that he will ensure Pembrokeshire’s voice is heard loud and clear around the Cabinet table.”
