Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has raised concerns about a cutback in courses at Pembrokeshire College in the Senedd.
Mr Davies has been told by the college that a number of courses will have to be axed because of a lack of funding.
"The college's budget has reduced this year compared with last year," Mr Davies told the Senedd.
"An important sector that has suffered is agriculture. Some courses will no longer be available and students will have to travel further for their education.
"That will be a huge blow to the area, given that agriculture is one of the County's main industries."
He called on the Assembly's deputy education minister John Griffiths to look into the fragile position that the college was now facing.
