Commenting on HM Revenue and Customs Plans for Tax Offices

Commenting on the news that HM Revenue and Customs plans to withdraw from both Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock tax office Paul Davies, Preseli Pembrokeshire Assembly Member, said:

"I am very concerned to hear that fears about the closure of the tax offices in Haverfordwest and Pembroke Dock appear to be coming true.

"Coming at the same time as the closure of many local post offices it seems that public services in rural areas are under fire from all sides.

"This form of centralisation is bad for the people of Pembrokeshire who need to access these services and especially bad for those who provide these services and who are losing their livelihoods."
