The rights of carers in Pembrokeshire have been highlighted by local AM Paul Davies.
Mr Davies took part in a one-day conference organised by Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) to mark National Carers Day.
"I took part in a question and answer session at the conference and discussed various matters relating to carers," said Mr Davies.
"Carers play a vitally important and often unsung role in society and the aim of the day was to make sure that they are getting the support and help they are entitled to."
PAVS spokesman Louise Raine-Lower added: "There are an estimated 14,000 unpaid carers in Pembrokeshire.
"The main aim of Carers Rights Day is to raise awareness of carers issues and to ensure carers know their rights and claim the benefits due to them."
