Garden benches made from recycled tyres was just one of the innovative products shown to Preseli Pembrokeshire's Assembly Member on a visit to a family-run county firm.
Paul Davies was given a guided tour of the AJ Recycling plant in Boncath which employs 14 people full time.
The company deals with the orange sacks from the north of the County and also recycles trade waste.
"AJ Recycling processes up to 40 tonnes of waste a week which would otherwise end up being buried in the ground," said Mr Davies.
"It is a wonderful example of a family-run firm moving with the times. It is investing in new technology and has become an important employer in the area.
"I was particularly interested in the different types of rubber matting they sell which is made from shredded tyres and can be used to secure silage sheeting or even for bedding animals down."
