Preseli Pembrokeshire AM Paul Davies has expressed the concerns of a number of constituents by speaking out against an eco‐hamlet planned for North Pembrokeshire.
He told a Welsh Assembly planning appeal held at Ysgol y Preseli that there were grave concerns about the proposals for nine ECO smallholdings near Glandwr.
The development has already been refused planning permission by Pembrokeshire County Council and the appeal is being heard in the non‐determination of a second planning application. Mr Davies was unable to attend the hearing in person but a representative told the planning inspector:
"I have received a number of representations from local residents and I share their concerns that the development would be detrimental to the local community and landscape.
"I would urge you to give due consideration to the opinions and concerns of the local residents when making a decision about this development."
The appeal is due to be determined by the inspector by August 27th.
