Preseli Pembrokeshire's AM is fighting for more trains to Fishguard and an upgrading of Goodwick station.
Paul Davies has highlighted the findings of a Welsh transport report which recommended both improvements.
"The Jacobs report recommended putting another five services per day to Fishguard and upgrading the rail station in Goodwick," said Mr Davies.
He pressed the Welsh transport minister to reveal whether the Assembly Government would be implementing the recommendations. Mr Davies also told the Senedd that rail services had been ignored for too long in west Wales and argued that any improvements needed to be thought through.
"In any strategy, it is vital that there is an integrated transport system where the train timetables fit in with the bus timetables,
for example," he said.
"I often receive complaints that the timetables for train, bus and other transport services do not fit in with people's travel arrangements."
