Pembrokeshire Assembly Member Paul Davies has fed into Hywel Dda Health Board's "Your Health, Your Future" consultation, responding to a number of the health board's proposals, which include closing the Special Care Baby Unit at Withybush hospital.
Commenting on this, Mr Davies said, "I'm pleased to feed into our local health board's consultation and state my position on Hywel Dda's reconfiguration plans for the area. I have voiced concerns on a number of issues, most notably, the potential removal of the Special Care Baby Unit at Withybush hospital. Clinicians have told us how closing this unit could have a harmful effect on the families of unborn babies across Pembrokeshire and it is therefore important that we ensure the health board hears our views loud and clear on this issue."
"I do hope that everyone gets involved and makes their voices heard through this consultation. These proposals could have a huge effect on our lives and this is the time to speak up about health services in Pembrokeshire. The consultation runs until October 29th, and so if you haven't already fed in your response, you still have time.
