Paul Davies AM is hopeful that action will soon be taken to resolve the problem of lorries parking overnight illegally at Goodwick.
Up to 35 lorries are staying on the Moor car park where there are no toilet facilities. Verges and hedgerows are being used instead.
After seeing the problem first hand Mr Davies met with Ian Westley, Director of Highways for Pembrokeshire County Council and Councillor Jamie Adams, cabinet member for Highways, to discuss the situation.
"As far as we can tell it is two companies in particular that are parking lorries there," said Mr Davies.
A similar problem has blown up in Pembroke Dock and it is hoped that a lorry park with facilities will be built, if £90,000 can be found, on land donated by the Port Authority.
However a different approach may be taken in North Pembrokeshire.
"Quite simply these lorries shouldn't be there at all," said Mr Davies.
"There is a large car park with a toilet block at Penblewin roundabout which I think should be used instead. I know it's 30 miles away but if we have got the facilities there then why not use them?"
